A Rockhopper MC trip bases in Nant Gwynant: as an aspirant ML I was asked to lead a day out with some navigation skills. We climbed Cnicht via Gelli-Iago and its north ridge. A final steep gully pops out onto the ridge just below the scrambly section. Once up at the top we had lunch by Lym Conglog before navigating in teh mist back via Llyn Llagi. At Y Cyrniau we encountered a disoriented walker with no map or compass and split the group in order to escort them down.

Moelwynion
The Moelwynion (a Welsh plural, sometimes anglicised to Moelwyns) are a group of mountains in central Snowdonia. They extend from the north-east of Porthmadog to Moel Siabod, the highest of the group. The name derives from the names of the two largest mountains in the group, Moelwyn Mawr (great white hill) and Moelwyn Bach (little white hill).
