Description

Beinn Bhan - 771m
Weather; Strong 60-70mph winds building from ensuing Storm Ciara, a wet, windy ascent of another smaller peak slightly above freezing temperatures.
Approached from caprark at Inverskalvulin bridge. Took the ascent up the eastern side of the forest towards Cairn at 771 metres. Snow had been wind blown into the gully of Coire Mhuillin. Wind speeds increased with severe gusts from the south on the traverse accross to Beinn Bhan.
Paced toward plateaux between Beinn Bhan and Fuiran a Coire Dhuibh (796).
Made a prompt exit descent in headwind down south on eastern flank of Allt Coire Mhuillinn. Wet river crossing at the very end by Inverskalvulin estate to avoid trespassing. A very wet and windy day out.
