Description

Late afternoon climb. Led Kim up her first trad climb in a few years. Cut it fine with the daylight so was glad to have a torch in the bag. Stupidly made the last belay on the wrong sloping ledge but sorted the situation with some good runners to protect Kim around the corner and into the chimney.

Area : Llanberis Pass

The one-time crucible of Welsh climbing. The fine crags of the Pass are easily accessible from the road. On the north side, the principal crags are: Dinas y Gromlech (bearing the famous line of Cenotaph Corner), Carreg Wastad (flat rock) and Clogwyn y Grochan. Further down the valley is Craig Ddu (black rock). On the south side, the principal 'roadside' cliff is Dinas Mot.
