"Journeyman Bushcraft Lochside with Ray Mears" at Dhu Loch, near Birnam/Dunkeld, Scotland. Seven (7) day, six (6) night Bushcraft and survival course led by Ray Mears in person. All food and shelter were foraged. There was very little to forage in Scotland in October. Intent was to experience working on very limited caloric intake, while expending the energy on long daily hikes to forage for food, gather and process firewood (lots of fire wood), for shelter building, fire to processing potable water, for heat, coracle building, fishing, etc. Nearest quality carbohydrates were from cat tails in deep bog three kilometres from shelter site. No maps, GPS, and limited tools and amenities allowed on the course. Focus on skills and the experience.
