Active in Bushcraft community with extensive training from Woodlore (Ray Mears) Bushcraft School, including Fundamental Bushcraft, Camp Craft, and Journeyman Bushcraft with Ray Mears in Scotland, and the Heros of Telemark expedition on the Hardangervidda in Norway. Additional Bushcraft and Open Canoe Expedition training and experience with Frontier Bushcraft, with Paul Kirtley and Ray Goodwin, including Canoe Expedition training on Lake Windermere, and canoe expeditions on the River Spey in Scotland and a 2 week long remote canoe expedition on the Missinaibi River in Canada (200km). Work with Mountain Water Expeditions, including multiple 'Great Glen' open canoe expeditions in Scotland, and DofE Bronze, Silver, and Gold Walking Expeditions in North Wales and the Peak District. Former US Marine (American Expat residing in the UK) with extensive training in Jungle (Philippines) , desert (California and Jordon), cold weather (Alaska), and mountain environment (Republic of Korea Marines Mountain Warfare School) survival training. Former civilian expeditionary country manager for over 350 personnel spread throughout the Afghanistan Theater of Operations, headquartered at ISAF HQ in Kabul (3 years - 2010-2013). Responsible for personnel, logistics, training, equipping, life support and transportation throughout the mountainous Afghanistan Theater.
