Description

Late afternoon climbing with the chaps.
Loads of laughs and the chance to do some rigging for top roping all of the routes and a personal abseil.
The crag is known for difficult climbing and very little gear.
I managed an E1 5b which I really enjoyed and would make an ace project.

Area : Cheshire & Merseyside

Oh check out the bolted sandstone at Frogsmouth! Also Helsby and Frosham, where Colin Kirkus used to stop off for a bit of bouldering on his bicycle ride home to Merseyside from Helyg. Pex Hill is the other main venue in this area, plus a host of urban micro-crags giving lots of sandstone bouldering and bold leads/highball problems. The BMC Cheshire & Merseyside Sandstone guide (2012) is the most recent.
