Description

A solo winter walk out of Great Yarmouth along Weavers Way to Berney Arms and on to the outskirts of Wickhampton.
Taking in a number of the old drainage mills and returning across the Halvergate Marshes that they shaped.
Thousands of Lapwing, Pink-footed Geese and Golden Plover on the marshes, Widgeon, Pintails and Oystercatcher on Breydon.
Snipe, Reed Bunting, Buzzard and Marsh Harrier also seen amongst other species.
Several Chinese Water Deer also flushed.
Navigation pretty straightforward along trailmarked path, but a little trickier over the marshes. Followed using map.
All accompanied with Gaius the black lab.

Area : Norfolk
