From Ferry our kit got collected and taken on to Yurt. Walked to to the Masacre and murder caves etc, back tracked to the nose and onto Sgurr by the north side. We were gonna camp on summit but forecast due to change with increased wind and didn’t fancy getting off a precipice in bad weather or bailing in the middle of the night. Camped at Loch bam bam bora with views of the sea and rum. Difficult finding a flat pitch for a 2 man tent.
Area :Canna, Rum and Eigg
There are six peaks on the Isle of Rum in the mountains list. Walking/scrambling on Canna, Eigg and Muck should also be listed in this area. Mallaig is the nearest port on the Scottish mainland.
