Description

Working with regular client to overcome fear of steep unstable ground prior to mountain leader assessment.
Heading up grains ghyll using steep ground under great end, practicing abseiling and rope work on the crags around sprinkling tarn. Descent to styhead via great slack from .631. Julie looking after another regular client who has a fear of descending after a fall on helvellyn. Both ladies doing amazing job.
Very very windy, westerly, so changed original plans to be around lambfoot dub area due to teaching and keeping clients warm. Cold in the wind. Visibility great.

Area : Southern Fells (Scafell Pike)

The Southern Fells Include Scafell Pike, the highest peak in England, occupy a broad area to the south of Great Langdale, Borrowdale and Wasdale. High and rocky towards the centre of the Lake District, the Southern Fells progressively take on a moorland character toward the south west. In the south east are the well known Furness Fells, their heavily quarried flanks rising above Coniston Water.
