Day 1 of the Climbing Wall Instructor training with Rob Pugh. The aspirant instructors looked at teaching belaying, tying in and backing up during the first few hours. After lunch, Rob produced a selection of belay devices for the group to discuss and use. We ended the day with a selection of bouldering games and ways of entertaining groups of all abilities in a bouldering area.
