Description

Mountain walk up Cnicht with navigation session around y cyrniau
from Gelli-lago up to bwlch y battel continued in SW direction joining ridge ascending Cnicht. Followed scree slope up to bwlch below steep section on Cnicht ridge ascended this and continued to summit. Followed path across summit ridge and descended to Llyn yr adar. From here headed NW to practice some micro nav to contour features. Worked our way around Llynnau r Cwn before circling around to rejoin track SH 654 486. Followed this back to Gelli-lago. A little bit of light rain with cloud level around 400m

Area : Moelwynion

The Moelwynion (a Welsh plural, sometimes anglicised to Moelwyns) are a group of mountains in central Snowdonia. They extend from the north-east of Porthmadog to Moel Siabod, the highest of the group. The name derives from the names of the two largest mountains in the group, Moelwyn Mawr (great white hill) and Moelwyn Bach (little white hill).
