Description

Ascended the highest mountain view point over Innsbruck. Conditions were a lot better today - it was warm, very clear, and no wind… We started out on our route from the hotel in Innsbruck to the summit of Bergsohn at 2334m. This was a long day of ascent up the mountain. Our plan was to summit and then traverse the ridge overlooking Innsbruck, however when we reached the summit we found that the ridges were closed off due to avalanche concerns. We were ok with that - rather be safe than sorry! We had realised that we were probably a few weeks late in the season and if we had come earlier we would of had good snow for traversing. Anyway we summited the mountain and had awesome views of the surrounding mountains and Innsbruck…. Again we had full winer kit with us for the ascent.
