Description

Scrambling afternoon on Tryfans East face. From Gwern Gof Uchaf went up to Heather terrace ascended Badtow buttress variant went up and over Tryfan summit descended little and North gully back to HT. Ascended Nor nor buttress variant and then descended north north back to A5. Bit damp.

The name derives from the highest peaks in the range, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. According to Sir Ifor Williams, the word "Glyder" derives from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones.
