Description

Practice assessment day with two clients who met on the same morning. Observed by Simon Verspeak, with feedback provided at end of the day. Climbed Pulpit Route in parallel (5 pitches), progressively bringing in more detail about the belays/different arrangements, managed abseil as a releasable RCI system; then climbed two pitches of Rowan Route in series. One client was a (rusty) RCI trainee; the other a novice (indoor) climber. Used the RCI trainee to 'teach' the novice and in doing so, check/develop the trainee's knowledge and understanding. RCI trainee 'ghost' led two pitches in series. Abseiled off huge block on Rowan Route.
