I took my friend, who lives nearby in the borders, on this walk. She hadn't been in that particular stretch of hills herself either, so neither of us knew the terrain. The purpose was to have a day in the hills together, whilst practising navigating and gain more bad weather experience (and it was REALLY bad) so we tried to find features to navigate to / from in torrential rain and gael force winds just for the fun of it. Despite the fact that she is an experienced walker herself we made sure all decisions were in my hands so I could honestly say that I was leading it.
