Exploring the British Isles on foot is my passion, from Jersey to Shetland, with a deep appreciation for nature, culture, and history—and the geological forces that have shaped them.

Since 2014, I have been leading walking holidays for German tour operators in Britain and Ireland, acting as both a walking guide and tour guide for the duration of the trip. I also do a lot of DofE work and lead walks for several UK outdoor companies.

I lead tours in all parts and nations of the British Isles, i.e. Cornwall, Devon, the Isle of Wight, Pembrokeshire, the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons), Eryri (Snowdonia)/North Wales, the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales, the Peak District, the Orkney Isles, Isle of Skye,  Jersey, Guernsey, Connemara, and Donegal.

Until autumn 2020, I lived in my home country, Germany. I am very fortunate to now be based in the beautiful Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons).

I speak fluent English, native German, and a little Welsh (hopefully becoming more fluent over time). I am an ambassador for both the Eryri and the Bannau Brycheiniog Nation Park and hold an NNAS Tutor award for teaching navigation.

If you are interested in my services—whether for guided walks in the Brecon Beacons or for walking and tour guiding across the British Isles—I look forward to your email.

Walking enthusiast based in South Wales. Grew up and lived in Germany until 2020. Travelled and walked across Britain, from Cornwall to Shetland, for 30 years. More than 10 years experience in guiding all over the British Isles.
Career history: Bachelor's degree in Trade & Commerce. Former commercial managing director responsible for 120 employees and 9,000 m² of retail space—but with no time to travel and utterly unhappy. In 2013/14, I quit my job in retail, took a course to become a tour guide/walking guide in Germany, set up my own business, and started leading walking holidays for small groups of German tourists on behalf of German tour operators in Britain, Ireland, New Zealand, and Iceland.
Since then, I have been running walking holidays for groups averaging 12–15 participants, acting as both walking and tour guide for the duration of the trip (typically 1–2 weeks). I am with the group from their arrival at the airport until their departure, spending all my time with them—staying in the same hotel, sharing meals, being available 24/7, and leading all walks. These walks are generally in lowland or hill and moorland terrain, covering distances of up to 12 miles with up to 700 m of ascent.
I spent three winters running camping and walking tours as a driver-guide in New Zealand (during their summers) and five years leading similar tours in Iceland. Since 2018, I have stopped working in New Zealand and Iceland (didn't like the driving part). Now, I primarily work in Britain (80%) and Ireland (20%) during the summers, with some freelance DofE and guiding work in spring/autumn and remote admin for tour operators in the winters. My summers are often filled back-to-back with tours from May to October, including running trips and developing new itineraries for German tour operators (e.g., Boundless Reisen, Berlin; Highländer Reisen, Cologne) in all parts of the British Isles.
