Started at Idwal Cottage. Headed NNW along the Snowdonia Slate Trail. Near Tai-newyddion I cut across NW to Fronllwydd. We then headed south up along the ridge past the summits of Carnedd y Filiast, Mynydd Perfedd, Foel-goch, Y Garn and Glyder Fawr. We then headed down Y Gribon to join the Cambrian Way and back to Idwal Cottage.
The weather was very windy at the summit and had very bad visibility at times when the clouds came in.

Glyderau
The Glyderau (a Welsh plural form, also known in English as the Glyders) are a mountain group in Snowdonia, North Wales. The name derives from the highest peaks in the range, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. According to Sir Ifor Williams, the word "Glyder" derives from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones.
