Started at grid NN 8508 9838. Headed East up to Carn Bàn Mòr. Stayed along the high ground along through Sgor Gaoith and onto Sgoran Dubh Mor. I then headed over to Meall Buidhe and over to Geal-charn. I then made my way down to the East and around the North side of Geal-charn and back round to the south-east to head down and through the forest back to where I started at the car park.
Area :
The Cairngorms
The Cairngorms are ‘a little piece of the arctic in Scotland’ according to the SMC Munros Guide and the area contains many of the tallest peaks in the East Highlands. Ben Macdui (1309m), Cairn Gorm (1244m) and Braeriach (1296) are probably three of the better known and the whole area is full of steep corries and high plateaux. Access to the mountains is typically from Aviemore or Braemar.
