winds of 40mph, increasing to 50mph in the day. using the path in-between liatach and beinn eigne up towards the burn lines leading to the colbelow coinneach mhor to gain height.
snow line at 600m.
the purpose of the day was cutting steps especially towards the col of beinn eigne, then doing nav on the ridge, pacing. we found that practising these skills on beinn eigne wasn't really practical, as the navigation points were fairly straight forward, however moving in steeper ground was fun. defiantly would never take a winter ML group there but good for personal movement and good discussion points.
decent 500m east from the summit of spidean coire nan clach. meeting the path and descend.

The area is bordered by Loch Maree and the A832 to the north and Glen Carron and the A890 to the south.
