Description

Started at the campsite in Glenridding. Walked down to the boat dock and got the steamer to Howtown. From here I hiked South and up to the summit of Wether Hill. Made my way to The Knott via High raise and Rampsgill Head. From The Knott I headed NW back to Patterdale via Angletarn Pikes. At Patterdale I made my way back to the campsite at Glenridding to finish the hike.
Today the conditions were awful. The visibility up top was very minimal, it rained nearly all day and the wind was proper strong. Tough day on all accounts.

Area : Far Eastern Fells

Reaching their highest point at High Street(828 metres) they occupy a broad area to the east of Ullswater and Kirkstone Pass. Much quieter than the central areas of Lakeland they offer in general easier but less exciting walking as the fells merge mainly into the surrounding moorlands. Exceptions however are the fine rock scenery to be seen surrounding the head of Haweswater
