Left the road at NN467139 and headed East on a path then crossed a bridge over the river Etive, headed south west along the bank of the river the turned east-south-east crossed another bridge and continued east-sout-east for aonther 1/2km, we picked up a path on the north ridge of Ben Starav which we followed to the summit, we went into the cloud at around 900M. From the summit we went east to the bealach marked 766 on the map. We then went south east for around 600M and picked up the north west ridge of Bienn nan Aighenan which we continued to follow in a south east direction to the summit. From the summit we retraced our steps to the bealach. From there we continued south east and then north east (over Meall nan Tri Tighearnan)to the summit of Glass Bheinn Mhor. From the summit we descended east then north east to the bealach marked 733 on the map where we picked up a path which we followed north west along a tributary of the Allt Mheuran which we crossed at NN459131 to pick up the path we left at the start of the walk (up Ben Starav) which we followed back to the road.

Area : Glen Etive to Glen Lochy

This is the area south of Buachaille Etive Mor as far as the A85 (Tyndrum to Oban road). It includes the peaks around the Glencoe Ski Centre (Creise and Meall a’Bhuiridh) alongside eleven other Munros and many other peaks above 600m. Highlights such as Ben Cruachan (1126m) and Stob Ghabhar (1090) remind all-comers that this is an area of high mountains and low glens.
