Andy led Hesitation cracks. After a couple tries found the right moves and made it up past the initial few steps. Easy climbing to the top.
Set up a TR on Sams indirect for me to test my shoulder on. Gained the move on the third try by moving my foot slightly further across allowing me to reach the flake. Found on the flake that my shoulder struggled to take the weight so climbed faster to the top.
At the top, before going down for Andy to lead again I instructed Andy on an assisted hoist system we can use to help him understand some easy rescue scenarios when he is on lead or TRing.
Andy then led again and climbed wel, gaining the right ledge and crack system to make the mantle on top with a good anchor and safety system to bring me up. Just below on last ledge I got Andy to send me down a line to practice the assisted hoist as he was on guide mode. Worked very well.
Good climbing by Andy, great protection.
Nice to take the shoulder out for a spin, was pretty painful after the Vs so struggled on others.
