Description

Gentle post-Covid walk. Salvaged from ill-starred trip to try and log some Irish QMDs! Recce'd approach to Stumpa an tSaimh. Learned about MacGillycuddy's Reeks Mountain Access Forum. Studied geology of Kerry mountains, Armorican folding, Devonian sediments, terrestrial, arid climate, fine-grained purple to green fluvial "sheet-flood" seediments, siltstone to mudstone clast size, etc. Fantastic weather and views!

Area : MacGillycuddy's Reeks
