Description

Mountain Skills. 2 day course 2x8 hours each day.Super sunny days in The Comeraghs at the weekend for Mountain Skills 1.
We have plenty of time to chat in detail about the fundamentals. Most of all it's just great getting outdoors with people. You chat about life and peoples plans and why they are taking the course, where they want to go and what they want to do after the course. It's always great to feel you are contributing in some positive way to peoples lives. The hardest part of this course is convincing people that it is well within everybody’s ability, in fact I’d say if you stick with a few simple steps most navigation is easy. Of course you get the odd thing wrong from time to time but that just makes the next bit of navigation better when you get it right. By Sunday afternoon we weren’t navigating to big obvious features, we were just wandering along in the sunshine admiring the blue sky and all the green things sprouting and finding individual boulders (Thanks @eastwestmapping ), small hidden streams and funny little trenches that I still can’t explain what they are!!
Thanks to the guys for coming out and wandering around with me. Good luck with all the plans big and small.
