Low level 4 ability group being introduced to lead belaying. I had responsibilty for TR belaying and
Discusion and attention drawn to climbers movements and actions to anticipate clipping.
*Belayer stance placement to avoid being pulled into the wall, and allow easy feeding of dead rope from the rope pile.
*Appropriate amount of slack to prevent short roping whilst avoiding excessive falls
*the use of stepping forwards to generate slack.
