Description

Personal munro bagging.
6.6km cycle. Frozen terrain
7.8 km to bothy over carn a chlamain.
arriving at the bothy for 3,30pm.
Full moon, clear night so did the next two munros (An Sgarsoch and carn an fhidleir) by moonlight. Barely needed a headtorch. 14,8km
Some snow patches, crampons not needed. snow avoidable if required.
Back at the bothy for 11pm.
Walked back to the bikes in the morning, frozen terrain, cloudless skies and inversions.

Area : Glen Tromie to Glen Tilt (Beinn Dearg)

This area includes the mountains in the Cairngorms National Park which lie between Glen Tromie in the west and Glen Tilt in the south of the park. The northern boundary is the River Feshie and to the south, the A9. There are four Munros in the area, the tallest being Beinn Dearg at 1008m, and the area is typically made up of peaty plateaux with the occasional pointy peak.
