Description

Working with a ladies group of 14.
Castleton start point. Cloudless stunning frosty day.
Sadly, one lady slipped and broke her ankle before the steep section of Mam Tor, and was taken to hospital by a friend.
Walked to Hollins cross, back to Castleton and then up into Cavedale.
10.2km.

Area : Dark Peak

Is situated between Sheffield and Manchester. The underlying rock is Millstone grit which is often exposed at the edge of the higher peat bogs for which the area is famous.
