Description

Well-being walks on Sundays allowing for staff at school to decompress and enjoy spending time outdoors in the ew forest. Given lots of opportunities for staff to explore areas they hadn’t been to before and allowed me to also recruit and partially train DofE staff. Hopefully lots will take part in ten tors.
During these walks I plan the route, or Sophie does, I take group kit and on way teach about some map and compass skills as well as minor relocations but mainly focus on the ecology and environment which comes with the new forest. Lots of education but lots of talking about teacher mental well-being.
To improve this I will try to attend MTA workingshops on mentality, well-being and breathing
Usually around 10-16km dependent on fitness of group and conditions.
