Description

Sgurr a'Chaorachain 776m Applecross. From the road at NG812 413 Headed up the steep South East rib up to 792m with film crew of 10 and 2 contestants (total novices). Route choice and careful spotting through the steeper ground in preparation for the filming day. Followed the ridge to the radio mast and summit at 776m then down to the road and up to meall gorm 710m. Back to the road and car park on the bealach na ba road.
Same route as 2 days previously but filming during this day. Very cold in the wind, poor visibility on the tops and in and out with rain. Stopped for a while before the radio mast which led to the contestants getting quite cold. Managed with layers and group shelter whilst the cameras were off.

Area : Cuillin and Torridon (Liathach)

This area is on the west coast of Scotland and its most well-known mountains are probably Beinn Eighe (1010m) and Liathach (1055m). The area is bordered by Loch Maree and the A832 to the north and Glen Carron and the A890 to the south. It should not to be confused with The Cuillin which is on Skye and listed in the Western Isles region. The mountains list contains all peaks above 800m.
