Description

Supervising day 3 of a Silver DofE expedition. An easier day today using country lanes and farm tracks. The group were very honest letting me know at the checkpoints that they had got a bit lost but managed to get back on track. I assured them this was perfectly normal and great that they sorted it out themselves. The route went from the CR Canoe Club and headed south to pick up the Devon Way. Group had to make a couple of navigation decisions due to access issues and also forestry work at Birkhill Plantation. Good choices made. We headed east on the north side of Black Devon river before arriving at Forestmill. From there we followed the minor road south before getting to our end point near Hartshaw Clump
