ROUTE: As described in SMC Guide to Corbetts and Other Hills.
MEMBERS OF PARTY: With my wife Marion.
CONDITIONS: Bright with sunny intervals. Warm sun. Cool breeze. Good visibility.
DURATION: Just over 5 hours car to car. Lingered a bit on the summit.
SKILLS PRACTISED: Navigation with map and terrain.
MOUNTAIN ENVIRONMENT: Gorse brilliantly bursting in to flower along Loch Lurgainn. A classic Torridonian Sandstone hill. Superb views across the "Cnoc and Lochan" Lewisian gneiss landscape to Stac Pollaidh and Suilven.
KEY LEARNING POINTS/CONTRIBUTION TO EXPERIENCE: A sparkling early spring day in Coigach. The "Lurgainn Edge" scrambling route looks an absolute must - will be back for that!
