Description

I did this walk with a friend but it was my route, my plan etc. We were hoping to climb Cul Beag, but we didn't start until 12 noon, due to several setbacks including me sleeping in. The roads were also pretty icy, so I had to drive slowly. We got to 500m altitude on the slopes of Meall Dearg by 2pm, but decided to turn back, as we didn't want to have to walk back over the rough ground in deep snow in the dark, and also we had a ceilidh to go to.

Area : Coigach to Cape Wrath

This area is situated on the north-western tip of Scotland and contains 4 Munros (from biggest to smallest); Ben More Assynt (998m), Conival (987m), Ben Klibreck (962m) and Ben Hope (927m). Also included in the mountains list are all of the peaks above 700m. The southern boundary is the road which joins Ullapool to Lairg and then to the A9.
