Northern Highlands West, as described in Highlands West section of the SMC Scottish Sport Climbs guidebook, includes a perhaps surprising number of sport climbing possibilities in the region around Gairloch. The crags are of excellent gneiss, a few of which also have trad climbs which should be entered in the relevant trad climbing section of DLOG.
Very adventurous Sport multi pitching on Raasay. First pitch around 40 6b/+ and second pitch 30m 6c+. Felt pretty stiff with bits of loose sandy rock and midges descending on the second pitch (hard to climb with them in eyes and ears).
