Description

Sgor Gaoith and Sgoran Dubh Mor from near Feshiebridge. Parked at 854 012 and followed the good track into Sgor Gaoith (cloud in and out with showers), then across the tops North to Sgoran Dubh Mor. Initial plan to follow the watershed back towards the cars but decided to escape the cloud and followed the burn of coire gorm a'chrom-alltain a short way until it was easy to pick up the main path. Out with two clients.

Area : The Cairngorms

The Cairngorms are ‘a little piece of the arctic in Scotland’ according to the SMC Munros Guide and the area contains many of the tallest peaks in the East Highlands. Ben Macdui (1309m), Cairn Gorm (1244m) and Braeriach (1296) are probably three of the better known and the whole area is full of steep corries and high plateaux. Access to the mountains is typically from Aviemore or Braemar.
