Description

Starting rhe day at Pont Cyfyng, we headed up through the old quarries and the emerald pool towards Llyn y Foel.
The area was especially boggy and took some time to work our way through.
Once through we headed up Daear Ddu (South ridge) of Siabod to the summit.
For our descent I had decided on the classic North East ridge back towards Plas y Brenin for food!

Area : Moelwynion

The Moelwynion (a Welsh plural, sometimes anglicised to Moelwyns) are a group of mountains in central Snowdonia. They extend from the north-east of Porthmadog to Moel Siabod, the highest of the group. The name derives from the names of the two largest mountains in the group, Moelwyn Mawr (great white hill) and Moelwyn Bach (little white hill).
