Description

RCI Day.
Met client at 08.45 at Rinsey Head. Introduced myself, brief and kit check before the walk in. When walking discussed objectives and goals to learn clients background etc. Client signed up to HML so discussed that.
At crag gave quick safety briefing, instructed on harness and set up two lines. Utilised mix of nuts and boulder - if both lines had been in use then would have used multiple slings to avoid cross loading but as only one would have been used at a time used one sling for two strands.
Used alpine butterfly to save rope (didn’t need to) and walked down, discussing steps.
Taught how to tie in, steps to belaying, important skill factors and then climbed sancho - progressively challenged by trying right side of corner. Moved along, then had a break to re rig, back down for hubble drekt before heading to Joy.
After completed 2 abseils off of williams chimney using releasable abseil and brought confidence.
Clients feedback was fantastic, will book again and likely book for navigation day on Dartmoor etc
Discussed DLog, what they look for etc too.
Www- very slick, kit was great and set ups bomber. Very little time missed
