Description: Took line along top of Blea Rigg NW to High Rise; then S to Langdale Pikes - following the line of tops; scramble on Pike of Stickle (but not the hardest route); looping round NW then SW using route along top of valley head; NW to pass then turning round SE to top of Esk Pike then to Bow Fell; descent E over the Band shoulder and crossing to Dungeon Ghyll waterfalls; continuing E along Cumbrian Way to return.

Central Fells
The Vale of Keswick, provides separation from the Northern Fells whilst to the west runs the long valley of Borrowdale. The parallel eastern boundary is created by Thirlmere and the St Johns in the Vale. Grasmere to Windermere forms the remainder of the eastern boundary. In the west, Stake Pass descends into Great Langdale.
