From Daat, we spent a day driving to the Leh - Manali highway & across it to salt lakes at Tso Kar & a nice camp at Nuruchen, where Margaret & I walked up to the viewpoint above camp. Some rain & even snow that night. Then next morning, after our horses caught up with us, we crossed the gentle but high Harlam Kongka pass to the pashmina goat herders' camp at Rajung Karu. Camped above this rather debris-strewn nomadic camp. Spotted our first kyang (Tibetan wild asses) on the way, also yaks & sheep grazing.
