Description

Lots of map work to determine a good line linking up Outerside, Coledale Hause, a short scramble up eel crag to crag hill in some strong winds alot of care taken. Over crag I followed the ridge to sail before dropping and following a nice pathed ridge along, dropping down before causey pike and following a nice steep grassy trod to join a path up to barrow. Down barrow and returning into Braithwaite soaked and ready to be finished.

Area : Central Fells

The Vale of Keswick, provides separation from the Northern Fells whilst to the west runs the long valley of Borrowdale. The parallel eastern boundary is created by Thirlmere and the St Johns in the Vale. Grasmere to Windermere forms the remainder of the eastern boundary. In the west, Stake Pass descends into Great Langdale.
