group from BTOpen reach on a work team adventure day. intro to PPE and the we started the day with bottom rope climbs and then to finish with an abseil. the weather was a fresh day and we only had rain at the end of the day by which time we had nearly everyone thought he abseil. limestone is slippery when wet, so points for me to take away from the day is maybe move AB in away the clients can have a better take off. However the AB was rigged in such away that they did have time time get the idea before committing the the AB.
Area :
Yorkshire Limestone Trad Climbs
The area north West of Bradford, includes Malham, Gordale, Kilnsey and Twistleton, hard sport venues and lots of trad venues. The guidebook is devoid of humour, but if you use it in conjunction with the two Yorkshire Grit guides you can safely reach the first bolt without recourse to a clip stick.
