Description

A glorious sunset Bivy on the North top of goatfell on some grass between huge shelter of boulders with views both west and east for sunset and sunrise. We enjoyed some tea and food and a sunset scramble on boulders as the sunset dropped and got great photos. Following the bivy and breakfast we continued to complete a variation of the Glen Sannox Horseshoe over the Brilliant tops of Cir Mhor and Caisteal Abhail. Looking but choosing to avoid the witches step scramble as my partner, though keen to try turned out not to be comfortable after I myself found it challenging and exposed.
The rest of the ridge was a great walk as we had brilliant views across sea to mainland keen to get down and enjoy a swim after a big day tired.

Area : Arran

All peaks on the Isle of Arran above 600m are in the mountains list.
