
From overnight camp at Loch Gorm ascended slope to col Beach ban in heavy rain poor visibility then on to Meall Gorm rain easing following ridge past and over Meall nan Peithirean and then up to Sgurr Mor very windy on the summit but improving visibility descended to col and then up and over Cairn na Criche and then down to col and up Meall a Chrasgaidh weather improving with some sunshine. From the summit descended the slope to the west down to the Allt Breabaig and followed track down stream crossed river carefully and then followed river down to Loch Bhracin and camp for the night with rain returning.

Loch Maree to Loch Broom and The Fannaichs
This area contains four main sub-regions: An Teallach, The Fannaichs, Kinlochewe & Letterewe. The highest Munro is Sgurr Mor, part of The Fannaichs range, at a height of 1110m. The impressive Slioch (981m), although not the tallest, is described by the SMC Munros Guide as being ‘one of the great sights of the Northern Highlands’ and well worth a visit. This area sits to the north of the A832 and is almost completely devoid of human habitation.
