Due to the high wind forecast and heavy rain showered and the need to return to our car in Grasmere. We drank a pint of tea and munched food at the YHA whilst watching a stream of drowned rats come in from the rain.
We ascended the coast to coast path from Rossthwaite and continued over from the col down the C2C path to Grasmere. No other fools were out on the fell.
