My first alpine peak, first route, and loved it. Cable cars to then follow the path to lac blanc, spent of snow and ice still on the lac, and lots to traverse up to the ridge. At the chimney, I managed to solo up without using a rope, much to the surprise of myself and my friends!
Practiced glissading on the way down, can't say that I was much good that that, but it was quick! Got down just before thunderstorm thankfully.
