A trip of a lifetime. We trained all summer for this one. We even abseiled and jumared in our big boots and gloves in the summer!
Unfortunately it didn't go to plan.
We were met at Luckla by a non English speaking porter with a note asking us to fund our own way into bc and then be reinbursed on our arrival.
Instead of the easy trek in , stopping at the bakeries on the way we were trekking by 7am and stopped at the sherpa lodges for lunch where our porter received free meals for bringing clients. He disappeared in the afternoon, we believe to take on little porter jobs.
At bc things went well and we met the other group who were a week in front of us and starting there summit rotations
