Description

I headed to the Lake District with Lloyd and Sam for the Blencathra Fell Race, a British Champs counter. We camped out at the foot of Blencathra in a farmer's field, with limited facilities, but it was all part of the adventure. We washed in a nearby stream, adding to the rustic charm of the weekend.Friday: We arrived, set up camp, and got some rest.Saturday: The race day! The Blencathra Fell Race was tough but rewarding, and I was thrilled to finish in the top 30 overall and 3rd in the V40 category. After the race, we walked into Keswick, where we enjoyed some food and beer, celebrating the day's achievements.Sunday: We headed to Ambleside for breakfast before embarking on a mountain hike. The day ended with a refreshing dip in a nearby river, a perfect way to cap off an amazing weekend. The weekend was a fantastic mix of competition, relaxation, and enjoying the great outdoors. The two nights camping by the stream added to the experience, making it a memorable trip with great company and even better results.
