Climbing with RCi Nathan Bonnie. Instruction in running belays etc.
The climbs appeared relatively straight forward at Gilwern. however, soon apparent that the recent rain had mede all cracks very wet and muddy. Climbing shoes became useless after a couple of moves. This route would be great when dry, however the finish was very hard in wet conditions.
Poor belay points at top. Old stakes that I would not use with clients.
Not a great days climbing due to conditions of rock and weather.
