An early climb with a friend when we were very inexperienced, having only made a few trips to the Lake District together. Having bought a guide book and map in Dublin we caught the train to Killarney where we camped. We left our hire bikes at Cronin's farmyard at Meallis. It was an up and down on the Devil's Ladder. It sowed a seed.
