Description

A kit check and general mountain day with a wild camp. From ODG car park onto The Band with some off path navigation around White Stones and point 568. Then up to 3 Tarns and onto Bowfell summit. Then down to 3 Tarns again and over Crinkle Crags and onto Great Knott and Red Tarn. Camped overlooking Wrynose pass and then in the morning down into Oxendale and back to ODG.

Area : Central Fells

The Vale of Keswick, provides separation from the Northern Fells whilst to the west runs the long valley of Borrowdale. The parallel eastern boundary is created by Thirlmere and the St Johns in the Vale. Grasmere to Windermere forms the remainder of the eastern boundary. In the west, Stake Pass descends into Great Langdale.
