Another weekend of DofE Core kills Bronze teaching with Pates GS.
Spent most of the weekend classroom based running round-robin of lessons. Minimum of 2hrs each day spent on Cleeve Hill with various group sizes going through basic navigation, country code, safety and natural navigation / signs.
Best teaching practise was seeing map work finally 'click' for some students. One or two unruly students which tested my group handling / leadership abilities, but this was largely fixed by occupying the individuals with more work to do.
Very enjoyable weekend for all, including myself for learner more on group dynamics in young people.
